Buster Bloodvessel to headline Help For Heroes fundraiser at Hayes Gate Football Club

Buster Bloodvessel and ska tribute band The Refinements are to play a fundraising gig in aid of Help For Heroes at the Hayes Gate Football Club on Friday 5th March.

Feb. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Buster Bloodvessel of two-tone legends Bad Manners will play alongside local ska tribute band The Refinements at the Hayes Gate Football Club on 5th March in a fundraising effort  to support charity Help For Heroes.

The larger than life character will be singing the greatest hits of his band, while ska covers band The Refinements will be reviving the spirit of the era with songs from The Specials, Madness, The Selecter and The Beat.

Recent comeback gigs from The Specials and Madness have sold out within minutes, showing that two tone ska is far from being history; it's alive and kicking. As The Refinements' keyboard player Chris Moffatt explains: "Ska is uplifting, upbeat music that's easy to dance to. At the same time you can enjoy it on a deeper level - a lot of the issues that these bands sung about in the Eighties are just as relevant in the credit-crunch world of today."

"Also we're happy to be playing for such a good cause. Help For Heroes do amazing work and they deserve our support."

The gig is expected to sell out as fans clamour for the chance to see one of their heroes perform live on stage in an intimate gig setting. Buster is known for his non-stop, energetic on-stage performances, and with seven piece ska band The Refinements in support, this is guaranteed to be an electric night of live music.

Tickets must be bought in advance, either through Hayes Gate Football Club or directly from the organiser - further details can be found on http://www.therefinements.com
