-- Hina Shah dares to be different. A home maker, a classical dancer, an entrepreneur, a painter, an academician and the director of ICECD, she is perfectly comfortable in each role. In a man’s world, she has created a niche for herself with path breaking innovative ideas.
A young, energetic, qualified woman, with a desire to become independent, empowered and successful, Hina Shah faced many an odds when she decided to become an entrepreneur in 1976. 30 years back, society was not prepared to see women being independent.
It is a matter of pride and honour for us that our director Ms. Hina Shah has been selected as one of the 6 finalists from India for the TITAN BE MORE LEGEND. These finalists have been chosen from amongst a thousand life explorers; people who believe they weren’t born to live just one life. This is a unique platform that goes beyond the obvious by exploring the various dimensions of the individuals who have excelled in more than one field.
Ms. Hina Shah has been chosen as a social entrepreneur, who in the past 3 years has led over 13,000 widows of Gujarat to become successful entrepreneurs, and is currently reaching out to over 2500 Primitive Tribal Youth of the State to become self sufficient. Her contribution to the development of Gujarat over the last 22 years has been significant, for which she has received various national laurels. Besides helping over half a million women to their feet through her institute, Hina Shah is a noted Odissi Dancer and a painter of international repute. Having spread her wings to over 52 Asian, African and Pacific countries world over, she is a huge source of inspiration to many who have changed the course of their lives to follow her leadership.
