Z'Tejas To Offer Romantic Valentine’s Specials Feb 11 – 14

Feb. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Valentine’s Day is one of the restaurant industry’s busiest times of the year.  In an effort to accommodate romantics throughout Orange County this season, Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa will offer a special Valentine’s menu Feb 11 – 14.  Available during dinner hours only, Executive Chef Daniel Stevens will prepare two special entrees, some drink specials featuring Pama liqueur and a special chocolate Mousse to cap off the meal.  The two entrees selections include:

•   Seared Chile-Crusted Scallops -- Chile-dusted and seared scallops on a bed of green chiles served with PAMA liquor sweet potatoes topped with a Serrano parsley chimichurri sauce.   Scallops are accompanied by a green apple and avocado salad for $16.99.

•   Surf & Turf – Pistachio-crusted beef tenderloin topped with caramelized onion sauce and served with sautéed spinach and jumbo chipotle marinated shrimp for $23.99.

“With Valentine’s Day on a Sunday, we wanted to accommodate those opting to celebrate the occasion anytime during the weekend,” said General Manager Travis Miller.  “We’re thrilled with the wonderful menu Chef Daniel has developed that sets just the right tone for romance.”
