Center For Recovery opens new Mental Health IOP

An Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program specifically designed for adults with depression, anxiety, and/or bipolar disorder. Small groups meet 3 times a week for 8-12 weeks. We are contracted with all major insurance carriers.

Feb. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Our small groups are based on a cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy model.  The program is based on the following concepts:
Mindfulness--learning the capacity to pay attention to the present moment.
Interpersonal Effectiveness--Learning assertiveness skills, identifying needs, asking for what you need in a healthy way.
Emotional Regulation--learning to identify and label emotions, identifying obstacles to changing emotions, increasing mindfulness to current emotions, increasing positive emotional events.
Distress Tolerance--learning to accept both oneself and the current situation without judgment. Accepting life as it is in the moment.  Learn 4 sets of crisis survival strategies.
