Speech Remedy Launches New Speech-Language-Cognitive Photo Cards for Adult Rehab Therapy
Speech Remedy's New Photo Card Decks Provide Health Professionals with Most Up-to-Date Realistic Tool on the Market
Speech Remedy’s photo card decks are the most current therapeutic tool of their kind available for health professionals and caregivers, promoting: sustained attention, visual scanning, word retrieval, vocabulary and word relationships, articulation, sequential thought, topic maintenance, problem identification, critical thinking and safety awareness. Each card deck features 25 color, up-to-date images with real-life situations and objects. Suggested questions and answers for discussions of these images are provided on the back of each card.
The card decks may be used stand alone or added to the SR-Cognition kit; a complete therapeutic tool-set launched in 2007 by Speech Remedy founders Joanna Boyer and Terri Tarnoff Snyder, both licensed practicing speech-language pathologists (SLP’s). SR-Cognition utilizes a hands-on, interactive multisensory approach to rehabilitation, which is generally recognized as the most effective treatment for learning difficulties. The SR-Cognition kit and supplementary photo card decks are currently being used by hundreds of SLP’s and family members across the U.S., Canada and overseas.
Speech Remedy products can help rehabilitate individuals who have sustained a stroke, traumatic brain injury, cranial resection, tumor, or are suffering from degenerative conditions such as dementia, ALS, or multiple sclerosis and may also aid high school aged individuals with developmental challenges by providing functional and independent life skills training.
