African Impact Lion Volunteer Project is February cover story for UK's popular Real Travel Mag

Feb. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- First, we have seen the launch of Lion Country to rave reviews on Britain’s ITV Channel 1, and now Ivan Troev, one of their past volunteers, is calling out to all and sundry from new stands from the cover of the February issue of the UK’s Real Travel Magazine.

According to the Guardian newspaper media watch column, Lion Country episode 2 pulled in 4.5 million viewers, and another key indicator is that their audience share grew from 18% for episode one to 20% for episode two.

Episode three will be airing at 7.30pm on Wednesday 10th February. Previews will soon be available at http://www.itv.com/lifestyle/lioncountry/ In episode three we check in on how Sango is fitting in with Echo and Etosha. Swahili, Soriah and Sahara go for walk after dark and Batoka & Bhubesi encounter some warthog. You will see David, Makeyi, Mackson, Rodrick, Sarah, Roy, Tinofa and Leigh-Ann

So, it is with great pleasure that conservationists, volunteers past and future, and travelers alike can now see the trend in focus on their noble lion conservation efforts continuing with Real Travel’s February cover story “Walking with Lions”. The story follows Ivan Troev’s journey to African Impact’s pioneering Lion Rehabilitation and Release into the wild project in Zimbabwe. “Ever since watching a film about releasing a captive lion into the wild as a child, Ivan Troev has wanted to spend his life working with lions. Now on his second trip to Zimbabwe, he is getting closer to realizing that dream…”
