They are not all the same, and you need to take the device out of its packaging and visually inspect it. They come in a one size fits all style, but you may have to use some scissors to trim it back some if it its too long, or if it sticks up too high in your mouth. Most any common drug store will carry the device, and they are readily available. You can even go to a local sporting goods store and use athletic mouth guards, as they can work just as well. Unfortunately, you will not be able to fit them in your mouth before you buy it, so do your best visual inspection to asses the fit. It will only be when you get home and place it in boiling water and then bite down that you can check the fit. You don't want one that is too loose, and not too snug, but there is an in between fit that is just right. 2. If you spend over ten dollars for your night guard you will want a product that is durable and is made of quality materials. These night guards are made by several companies with different brand names, so shop around and compare how well they are made. They range in price from a dollar a piece for the athletic mouth guards, to over twenty dollars for the drug store variety, or if you buy it from your dentist it can cost well over one hundred dollars. Some of these mouth guards are made of food grade rubber, while others are constructed from a soft food grade plastic. The rubber mouth guards tend to hold up longer but don't have a really good fit. The plastic type products tend to fit really well, but are not durable and need to be replaced from time to time. You will have to see what is more important with either fit or durability when you make your purchasing decision. 3. If you really want the best fitting teeth grinding mouth guard you will have to go to your dentist's office. As mentioned previously, this is the most expensive option, but these are the best night guards available.
