TW Biz reached out to more than 2,500 retailers and industry insiders for their nominations and votes across several unique categories in order to distinguish the shops, brands, reps, and products that contributed the most to the action-sports industry in 2009 by building demand and strengthening the endemic market.

About Awards:
The winners were selected using the results of a two-month survey conducted in two parts, VIP, and People’s Choice. VIP votes were by invite only and were weighted at 70 percent of the final results. The People’s Choice nominations were conducted on www.transworldbusiness.com and were weighted at 30 percent. Think of it as the Electoral College and the popular vote, and just like our nation’s elections, the votes were rigorously patrolled to ensure only one vote was cast per person. Hundreds of votes were cast in each category.
