Le Bleu Donates 5,837 Gallons of Bottled Water to Haiti

Jan. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- ADVANCE, N. C.  – Le Bleu Corporation has responded to the earthquake victims in Haiti with the gift of life – water. Le Bleu workers loaded 15,000 bottles of Le Bleu Ultra Pure Water into a tractor trailer driven by a former UPS veteran driver, Marvin Hylton.  Hylton is one of the volunteers with God’s Pit Crew, a crisis response nonprofit ministry from Danville, Virginia, who drove his semi to Cleveland, Tennessee.
“We wanted to get the water there quickly, and God’s Pit Crew helped us connect with transportation to get our premium water to Haiti,” said Robyn Vernon, Le Bleu’s Director of Inside Sales at the corporation’s headquarters in Advance.  Director Randy Jackson of God’s Pit Crew contacted Operation Compassion in Cleveland, Tennessee, who agreed to ship the 4,834 gallons of bottled water by container to a United States’ port or airport, for the first available transport into Haiti.
“Operation Compassion has been shipping all over the world for the past ten years. We’ll get water there the fastest way we can, whether it takes a week or several weeks,” said Mr. Johnson.
Le Bleu Corporation also donated four pallets of small-packaged water (1,023 gallons) to the 82nd Airborne Division who left last week from Ft. Bragg, N. C. The 4,956 bottles will keep America’s elite paratroopers drinking healthy water as they seek to ease Haitians’ suffering.
