Almost Home Canine Rescue of Madison, South Dakota hopes to win. They have pledged to use any winnings to support Sioux Falls SNIP. Sioux Falls SNIP is a joint effort with the South Dakota Coalition for Companion Animals to provide low income families in Sioux Falls financial assistance to spay or neuter their cat or dog. "We will never adopt our way out of the pet overpopulation. The only way we will ever reduce the number of unwanted cats and dogs is to spay and neuter our pets." Julie Lavin, Almost Home Canine Rescue President says. The Animal Rescue Site Challenge is an easy way for the community to contribute to the program with out spending any money. All you have to do is click to help rescued animals, and then vote in The Animal Rescue Site $100,000 Shelter+ Challenge. Both of these actions are absolutely free! You can vote once a day, every day, from January 18th through April 18th, 2010. "SNIP will be a progressive program for pet owners in the Sioux Falls community who want to do the responsible and healthy choice for their cat or dog, but may be financially struggling.
