San Diego Self Storage contributes to successful holiday toy drive

Jan. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- San Diego, CA---San Diego Self Storage sponsored its annual holiday toy drive benefiting Toys for Tots by collecting toys at each of their 15 locations throughout the greater San Diego region.  The successful campaign collected 3,400 toys, which contributed to the 134,000 toys collected by the US Marines. The US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program provides underprivileged children with new toys at Christmas, with the purpose of delivering a message of hope and encourage them to grow into responsible citizens and community leaders (www.toysfortots.org). Over 55,000 children will benefit from the toy distribution.    
According to Managing Member Tony Carr, "The success of this, our eleventh annual Toys for Tots toy drive, went exceedingly well.  Beginning with the kick-off event aboard the USS Midway in November through the end of the toy drive on December 20th, the community fully embraced the effort.   We are proud to have contributed our facilities as drop-off locations and look forward to continuing our annual tradition during the 2010 holiday season.  This year also marks our fourth year as an official Toys for Tots Toy Drive Sponsor."
