Lennar Unveils New Community To Be Built On The Carriage Hills Golf Course In Eagan Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, January 20, 2010 – The Minnesota division of Lennar is proud to announce their intent to purchase nearly 114 acres of the property previously occupied by the Carriage Hills Golf Course in Eagan, Minnesota.  This proposed new neighborhood is designed for all generations of life that will include single-family homes, multi-family homes, and assisted living homes that will be surrounded by environmentally friendly neighborhood amenities.

The property located just east of Interstate 35E along Yankee Doodle Road is currently approved to provide 480 new homes. Lennar’s proposed neighborhood of 366 homes will provide lifecycle housing opportunities that will be appealing to first-time homebuyers, those looking to purchase their second home, and consumers looking for one level, maintenance free living.  In addition, the proposed plan includes housing for seniors with a need for assisted living. The proposed homes will range in size from 1700 finished square feet to over 3300 finished square feet and will be offered from the $200’s to the mid $500’s.  All of Lennar’s homes will be built with their energy wise PowerSmart®  included features.
