Jan. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Foundation Software, developer of FOUNDATION® for Windows® construction accounting, project management and scheduling software, has joined three leading construction-focused companies to present a free, half-day forum designed to help construction executives better assess project risk.

Construction business owners and executives from all trades are invited to attend the interactive “What’s Your Risk” workshop, to be held January 26, 2010, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Akron General Health and Wellness Center, in Akron, Ohio.

In addition to Foundation Software, co-sponsors of the 2010 Construction Forum include three Ohio-based companies: Brochman, Coats, Gedelelian & Co. CPAs, Frantz Ward LLP, Attorneys at Law, and The Hoffman Group Insurance Agency.  Representatives from the sponsoring companies will share their expertise on how contractors should approach the daunting task of risk assessment.

The program will cover four main areas that contractors should look at when assessing risk:

·Legal:  Contract Risk Management and Allocation, Ian Frank of Frank Ward LLP

·Financial Reporting:  Construction Reporting Fundamentals, Fred Ode, Foundation Software

·Insurance:  Construction Insurance Issues and Solution, Dennis Neate of The Hoffman Group

·Fraud Detection & Forensic Accounting: Protecting Yourself From Employee Fraud, Raymond Dunkle of Brockman, Coats, Gedelian & Co.

The workshop will conclude with a panel discussion focused on the risk and opportunities of minority, SBA and federal contracts.  The program is free, but space is limited and reservations are required.
