By: Poetry on Tap CLARE POTTER is the author of Spilling Histories (Cinnamon Press), inspired by the aftermath of the New Orleans disaster. Representing Wales at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington DC last summer, she is known for her vibrant, vivacious poetry performances (2004 John Tripp Award winner). DUNCAN McGIBBON is the author of The Consolations (Mulfran Press), a poetry collection that journeys from Our Lady of Geneva to the heart of the poet's family. The event also includes a popular open mic section, with prizes donated by Poetry Wales, Mulfran Press and Cinnamon Press. Entry £4 or £2 for open mic readers. Poetry on Tap is Cardiff’s newest monthly poetry and spoken word series co-curated by Ivy Alvarez and Mab Jones, providing a showcase for electric experimentation and lively risk-taking through poetry, with exciting and uncommon pairings between poets and spoken word artists.
