Jan. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Capelta is beginning this year's Golden Globes season with a jolt today, hosting a showcase for the plethora of celebrities invited to Platinum Publicity's Golden Globes Celebrity Lounge, presented by the House of Blues.

Those who are invited will receive a sneak-peak to the this season's Capelta line, as Capelta is planning on showcasing some of its newer designs and present their long-anticipated thigh-high and knee-high medley of fur boots.

Melanie Segal's Celebrity Lounge has decided to focus its event charity on raising consciousness and resources for relief in Haiti, due to this week's tragic earthquake in Haiti where a lot of people are thought to be deceased.

At the lounge this week celebrities will sign Platinum Publicity's "Hollywood Helping Haiti" shirts that will also be auctioned off for Haiti help.

Even in a awful fiscal time, Google users will be on the lookout for ways to offer direct support to Haiti, a especially deprived and corruption-plagued nation. One of the most publicized ways to donate to Haiti earthquake relief efforts is via text. Sending a text to “HAITI” to 90999 will bill a $10 endowment to the Red Cross on your next mobile phone bill. Sending a text message to “yele” at 510 510 is also being tweeted and emailed as a way to provide $5 to reinforcement efforts via Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund.  Jean is at this time on his way to Haiti via the Dominican Republic to link up with Anderson Cooper.

President Barack Obama has recently brought up the condition in Haiti with a press conference, and urged people nervous about family and friends in Haiti to call up the State Department at 1-888-407-4747. On Twitter, #helphaiti has been trending all morning with users suggesting ways to make a contribution and spread news on the circumstances in Haiti. There is no estimated death toll in Haiti, with news organizations believing it may be in the “hundreds” or “thousands.”
