Coastal Credit Solutions Helped Many in 2009

Jan. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- Coastal Credit Solutions, a San Diego based financial service company, concluded 2009 with laudable efforts of community giving. Their charitable event participation benefitted organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Say San Diego and Make-a-Wish Foundation.
In August 2009, Coastal Credit Solutions donated the time of 8 of their employees to assist Habitat for Humanity in building a house for a family in need. Swinging hammers, hauling building materials and climbing ladders replaced the financial counseling that these volunteers do during a normal workday.
“We know this is a hard year for many individuals and families, and we wanted to support Habitat for Humanity as they assist with the most basic necessity, shelter,” says Brian Blackburn, Director of Operations at Coastal Credit Solutions. “Our employees benefitted as well. Many still talk about the experience and look forward to doing it again.”
In addition to Habitat for Humanity, Coastal Credit Solutions continued their support for a local organization, Say San Diego through their Adopt-a-Family program. The Adopt-a-Family program allows donors to provide gifts to families in need. In this case, Coastal Credit Solutions provided a single mom and her 5 teenage children with a full set of holiday gifts.
The Make-a-Wish Foundation was another beneficiary through the popular Chairs for Charity event. Coastal Credit Solutions sent a group of employees to this fund raising event that included an auction of uniquely decorated chairs. Money raised at the event went towards the medical bills of a young boy with a rare rheumatic condition.
Not only did the company sponsor employee attendance, they also took home one of the prized chairs. “We work with individuals every day that have unique situations and showcasing a one-of-a-kind chair in our office reminds us all to help clients in ways that benefit them most,” Blackburn adds.
These events are only part of what Coastal Credit Solutions have done in 2009 and they have more planned for 2010.
