During the 1980’s, Bill Bartmann took over a bankrupt business and made sales of $1 Million per month until October of 1985 when oil prices fell dramatically.  Bill Bartmann was forced to close the company, $1 Million in debt.

Bill Bartmann was determined to make good on his debts; with the help of his former chief operations officer, he began scanning business opportunity ads.  He was able to convince a lender to loan him $13,000 and he was back in business!  Bill Bartmann went into debt collections and built a $5 billion dollar business.  In September, 1998, Bill Bartmann appeared on the cover of Inc. Magazine with the headline, “The Billionaire Nobody Knows.”
