Guide by Cell m-Coupons: Produced More Cheer for Less at San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo used Guide by Cell’s m-coupon service to complement its radio advertisement campaign to announce Jungle Bells, the zoo’s evening holiday event. The zoo’s use of Guide by Cell m-coupons signals a trend among cultural and family attraction institutions to find low-cost and innovative mobile technology solutions to increase visitor attendance.

The San Diego Zoo integrated the m-coupon with its radio campaign to promote the free beverage offer and the zoo’s exciting new “Jungle Bells” program.  The radio ad prompted listeners to send a short code text message while hearing the radio ad. Listeners who participated received a text message which served as the m-coupon redeemable for a beverage at the zoo.
