GMAC Bowl Odds - Central Michigan Chippewas vs Troy Trojans:

Wednesday night in Mobile, the 11-2 Central Michigan Chippewas will face Sun Belt Conference champion Troy Trojans in the GMAC Bowl.

Coach Butch Jones took the Central Michigan football program to new heights. However, he won't be around to fully enjoy the fruits of his labor as he has departed to be the new head coach of the Cincinnati Bearcats.

NCAA odds makers see this one being pretty close. The spread in Vegas is sitting at about a field goal. The line is set at, Central Michigan -3 with the total in the game at 64.

Central Michigan is champion of the Mid-American Conference for the third time in four seasons, with the last two titles coming under Jones. Associate Head Coach Steve Stripling will serve as interim Head Coach for Central Michigan.

Troy
also won its third conference title in the last four seasons, cruising through their Sun Belt schedule with an 8-0 record. The Trojans are 9-3 overall and they have been red hot. Since losing to Florida in Week 2, the Trojans won 9 of their final 10 games.

This season's GMAC Bowl is the Trojans fourth postseason appearance in the last six years. Troy is 1-2 in its previous three bowl appearances including a 27-30 overtime loss to Southern Miss in last year's New Orleans Bowl. The Trojans earned their lone bowl victory in the three tries in 2006 when they beat Rice in another New Orleans Bowl.

The Chippewas are 1-4 in bowl games with their last win coming in the 2006 Motor City Bowl.
