Recently released by Mouzza Publications, ‘A Brief History of Howard’ is a thrilling and unique work of Jewish fiction about a young jazz guitar player/grad student who faces unusual and overwhelming obstacles to his health and psyche, and searches for his inner strength to stay alive.

Synopsis:
The book’s astoundingly evil antagonist, Dr. Wang, sustains his 200-year-old self by stealing Ch’i, the life force, of another person every 30 to 50 years—and Howard Stein is Dr. Wang’s next victim.

In 1985 Howard Stein, a grad student at Washington University in St. Louis, finds that his plan to become a psychologist collapses under the weight of three illnesses: the first easily understood; the second understood with the help of a Chinese acupuncture expert; and the third so devastating it requires he defeat a man who has conquered the strongest forces of nature.  The journey for survival takes him out of St. Louis, across the country, and into the depths of his own soul.
