Chicago Non-Profit Gets Listed and Makes Friends

Jan. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- CHICAGO, Ill. – Literacy Volunteers of Illinois (LVI) is networking with many people and organizations on Twitter. LVI has recently made use of the new twitter ‘list’ feature that has aided a flood of over 800 followers.

The LVI Twitter account was opened on October 23, 2009. In only a few months, the number of followers has skyrocketed. The Twitter ‘list’ feature allows users to link profiles based on a common topic. LVI is linked to other literacy networks in Chicago and the State, helping to spread awareness for the organization and its cause.

LVI also has its own ‘list’, consisting of contributors for this year’s annual SCRABBLE fundraiser, held November 14. The ‘list’ gives LVI added leverage to attract donors for the fundraiser. LVI Communications Associate Allison Payne stated, “Its list feature has allowed us to promote our contributors within a forward-thinking and creative platform.”
