GRAPA Revenue Assurance Regulatory Certification Awarded to Tarig Rahamtalla

Jan. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Global Revenue Assurance Professional Association (GRAPA) has successfully trained and certified its first member from a US Regulatory Body. Tarig Rahamtalla, Senior Financial Analyst for the Universal Service Administrative Company, recently attained his certification as a Bachelor of Revenue Assurance Regulatory Compliance at the recent GRAPA training event held in Las Vegas, USA.

“Regulators, and those who work for them, are in as much need of training as any other telecommunications professional,” said Rob Mattison, GRAPA’s President. Because revenue assurance is one of the main areas where the interests of regulators and telcos coincide, “skilled and knowledgeable regulators are often the ones best placed to help telcos manage leakage and fraud.”

Tarig’s achievement of certifying as a Bachelor of Revenue Assurance Regulatory Compliance involved participation in a rigorous 40-hour training program, an extensive series of exams, as well as verification of telecommunications and finance work experience. The certification is a testament to his ability to fundamentally understand and proactively implement GRAPA’s internationally ratified standards for the practice of revenue assurance.
