The Motorola L6 is a strange phone in my opinion

Bought on the O2 network from Amazon I had a few problems (all Amazon’s fault though) – why sell a new product with a used SIM card? Anyway, the battery is dead on purchase but actually doesn’t take that long to charge: initially it was around 3 hours. The battery is very slim and not very big and I do feel this is where the phone suffers; the phone just doesn’t live up to the 3410’s battery life and will need charging again within 48 hours without much use. To me this is quite poor as I could go around 5 days (leaving the phone on all the time) even after 5 years ownership with the 3410 and only then be told the battery was low. But with its size it does keep the phone very light (86g) and something that has to get used to as it is so thin and seems so fragile.
My first phone call unfortunately wasn’t even for me (for someone called Lauren) but it did give me a chance to compare call quality. I actually rate it rather highly. Not only do I get a better signal strength in my area (dependant on network) but there are no troubles hearing the person on the other line at all. If only the phone book was as simple to master. The phone is loaded with O2’s services numbers all designed to get the buyer to spend more money. At the bottom of the list is the option to add a new entry and with numerous names (up to 500) can be tedious trying to find them. I do quite like the phonebook as it allows me to add in all those other details such as nickname, e-mail address, home address (a little more American as they ask for State/Province) and the option to add a photo for caller Photo ID.http://www.bestlaptopbattery.co.uk/hp/nx7000.htm  It can be a pain though as it doesn’t let you save the changes made unless filling in some of the details asked for.
The phone features Java which is good for playing a multitude of games on a computer but disappointingly the only game provided on the phone is Rebels – a space invaders type game where you have to shoot the flying things. I don’t really find the phone friendly enough for playing that game but rarely play so may take some getting used to. It’s even worse that I can’t get connected to WAP to download other games but as it is Java means there will be a lot of compatible games.
