Tom Purtzer Brings the Sweetest Swing in Golf to the iPhone

Dec. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Bartlett, Illinois  Tom Purtzer, the man known for having the sweetest swing in golf, is about to share the secrets of his swing in a new iPhone App today.  The App titled “The Sweetest Swing in Golf” was produced by the KnowaProNow Learning Company.  
   According to Dick Daniels, KnowaProNow CEO, “Tom has won multiple tournaments over the last 3 decades and he’ll be the first to tell you, many of those wins were because of the distance and accuracy he has off the tee.”
   The App, designed to be used on the course and on the practice tee, was filmed, edited and designed specifically for the iPhone.  According to Purtzer, “It was rough.  A two-day shoot.  100+ degrees in Phoenix.  But I’m very happy with the result.  It’s tough to talk to 2 cameras, cover all aspects of a swing and then hit the shot.  Somehow I managed.”
   Daniel’s agreed, “Tom is a pro on every level.  The entire film crew watched with jaw’s dropped as Tom would do a quick 1 to 2 minute lesson and then hit drive after drive 300 yards to the middle of the fairway.  And he did it all with reflectors on him that raised the temperature to 120° at his position.”
       The App covers a range of subjects in a variety of ways so that a player can actually interact with the information and advice while they play.  Purtzer said that’s the fundamental idea, “The whole concept of the apps we’ve developed is to give people who love golf the advice and tips they need while they play, practice, or simply dream about the game of golf.
        It offers quick tips you can use on the course while you play to offer you solutions to some of those problem shots we all run into.  It has lessons in the form of stroke-savers that can take strokes off every round with the kind of detail that makes the game fun and easy to understand.  And there are lessons for the practice tee and other drills that can help you to improve your technique and make your game better.”

       It also features a section called the 19th hole with slideshow views of lessons, a slo-motion study of Tom Purtzer’s swing sequence, and a candid interview with Purtzer where he talks about his career and the affect his swing has had on the game.  “I’ll be honest with you.  A lot of it is genes.  I was blessed with a natural swing, but something I learned early on was the key to getting to the next level was focused practice.  Practice, practice, practice.”
   Shot at the Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale Arizona, this is the first App in a series featuring Purtzer and other pro’s.  “We have lot’s more coming.”  said Purtzer.
