Dec. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Carbon Acquisition Company Ltd, a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of J.P. Morgan , today announced the planned appointment of Paul M. Kelly as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EcoSecurities Group Plc1 (EcoSecurities) (LSE: ECO), a leading company in the business of sourcing, developing and trading emission reduction credits.

Kelly’s planned appointment follows the recent announcement of Carbon Acquisition Company’s £1.05 a share offer to acquire EcoSecurities becoming unconditional. The transaction is expected to close in December.

Kelly joins EcoSecurities from J.P. Morgan’s Global Commodities group where he led the Environmental Markets business globally.

Blythe Masters, Global Head of Commodities at J.P. Morgan, said: “Paul’s experience managing J.P. Morgan’s carbon business, coupled with his background in principal investing and emerging markets, makes him the ideal candidate for the role of CEO of EcoSecurities.”

“I am excited to have been asked to take on this position”, said Kelly. “I look forward to working with my new colleagues at EcoSecurities as we continue to build on the company’s distinctive leadership position in the global carbon markets.”
Kelly will replace Bruce Usher who announced last February that he would step down as CEO. Usher will work with Kelly to ensure a smooth transition.
