Dec. 14, 2009 - PRLog -- Buff, Inc., known for technical and multifunctional headwear popular among the angling community, has made a generous donation of 300 custom Bonefish & Tarpon Trust UV Buff® to the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust (BTT) for 2010. The custom BTT Buff® are an in-kind donation valued at $6,900, qualifying Buff, Inc. as a Blue Ribbon sponsor with the organization. The custom BTT Buff® models will be sold at lodges and promotional events to help raise money for the Trust’s preservation efforts.

“Buff, Inc. is proud to support this important organization that provides significant education and research on the bonefish and tarpon population,” says Shirley Choi Brunetti, general manager and vice president, United States.

BTT was established in 1998 as an organization dedicated to bringing back the bonefish and tarpon populations. Originally formed in the Florida Keys, the trust has expanded its membership to include anglers and researchers in over 20 countries across the world. Their main goals are to support conservation, education, and research to help people better understand and grow the tarpon and bonefish population. To do this, the organization has a wealth of information that they distribute to fishermen and the public, and work with regulatory authorities and government agencies to ensure laws are passed and managed effectively to properly protect these species.

Buff, Inc. ads will appear in the Trust’s Annual Journal and Buff will have a rotating online banner on the BTT website. The ads will showcase Buff® headwear, as well as the new premium-quality line of Pro-Series Gloves®.

Debuting in February, Buff®’s new line of Pro-Series Gloves include the Angler Gloves and Fighting Work Gloves. These highly durable Pro-Series Gloves not only offer a UPF of 50+, but also incorporate technical aspects to deliver exceptional functionality to anglers beyond basic UV protection. Both models are crafted to enhance dexterity, grip and offer coverage from the sun, and provide anglers with a performance advantage literally in the palm of their hands.
