Follow on Google News | New Reporting System for SkylineEnigma Vehicle Systems have launched a new type of reporting system for their product Skyline which is a GPS tracking and telematics system.
By: James Wilton Summary reports on the fleet are generated to analyse the vehicles, record data on idle times, speed the vehicle is travelling at, journeys taken etc. Reports generated by Skyline Report Scheduler come through weekly by email and are not intervened with in any way. Companies can hugely reduce their fuel costs by using this data in all the necessary areas. Recently, feedback from a European equipment rental company gave an insight as to where the Skyline reporting system had helped to find areas where the companies’ vehicles were under-utilised. This information created the company around a two thousand euro saving each week. The company also reduced their mileage by four thousand five hundred kilometres by putting a stop to unauthorised out of hours use of the vehicles. Using the Skyline Reporting System, companies can also request that they receive alerts when exceptional events occur, for instance an unplanned journey or movement of the vehicle outside it’s set area. Speeding can also be dramatically cut as the company is aware of all speeds throughout journeys and this can allow businesses the opportunity of taking disciplinary action against drivers going over a certain speeds. Overloading of vehicles can easily be recognised with this system assisting the company abide by Heath and Safety restrictions.
