‘Working For Green’ Launches Interactive Video-Driven Web Community

New Website Connects Americans who are Working to Transform their Lives Through Green Innovations and Careers

Dec. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- Working For Green today announced the launch of a new video-based web community dedicated to improving lives, communities, and the future by featuring people around the country who are enhancing their lives through green innovations and jobs. Their accomplishments are told though broadcast quality video profiles. Users will be permitted to submit relevant, original content as well. The series debuts on www.workingforgreen.net in December, 2009.

The WFG team has spent the past six months on the road capturing moving stories about individuals who have found simple ways to protect natural resources, increase sustainability, save money and provide needed jobs. The camera also has been focused on innovative companies in the hundreds of new industries being fueled by people’s recognition that all of us have to protect the quickly dwindling resources of this small planet we call home.

Working for Green will continue telling the stories of these remarkable individuals with a goal of introducing over a hundred additional innovators a year who will share the ways their creative initiative is improving their lives and community. Each segment is designed to be emotionally compelling, educational and entertaining.  In addition, resources and links will be provided to assist viewers anywhere with information about jobs or innovations highlighted. Viewers also will be able to submit their own video content, articles and story ideas. The audience will be able to vote on their favorite viewer-submitted videos, allow users to submit new information and share ideas with others on the site.

“Our journey will take us to towns and communities where we’ll introduce you to people and stories filled with determination, hope and positive change,” according to Working For Green President Susan Neisloss. “At its core is the conviction that we must return to quality and passion in all of our pursuits and not wait for governments or corporations to take the first step. What better way than getting inspired by people of all ages and backgrounds who are motivating one another during this very tough economic time.”

By showcasing the accomplishments of these extraordinary albeit “everyday” Americans,
WFG aims to energize people to improve their financial situation by forging a new career during the current economic crisis. WFG’s mission is simple - to help people take action on their own by learning and sharing with each other.
