Dec. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- HOUSTON, TX - Fresh Air Club, the market leader for delivery and recycling residential air filters, announced their partnership with FedEx. The development of this key logistics process has been in the works for several months as part of a way of reducing the overall costs to Fresh Air Club’s Members. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The new service model is slated to go into effect at the end of the fourth quarter of 2009.

After carefully evaluating all of the major competitors, Fresh Air Club (http://www.freshairclub.com) selected FedEx for their responsiveness and willingness to take on the shipping challenges presented by the Fresh Air Club’s patent-pending business model. “The innovation and wisdom of two industry leaders have come together to provide a unique service model that provides the highest quality service, value, and reliability for our Members. This partnership gives our Members and Clients the piece of mind that their auto-shipments of replacement air filters will arrive when they need them. It also allows us to track filters that are shipped back to us for recycling so that we can demonstrate proper ‘end-of-life’ disposal. All of which is good for our Members and good for the environment,” said Joni Bock, Fresh Air Club CEO.

FedEx brings a new level of reliability and service to the Fresh Air Club. Also noted by Ms. Bock was FedEx's initiatives to ensure sustainable operations and reducing its environmental footprint through efforts that include, but are not limited to reducing demand on natural resources, minimizing waste, and offering customer's sustainable solutions which “clearly demonstrated an alignment of business ideology with the Fresh Air Club that made this partnership a good fit.”

Ms. Bock also thanked the team at FedEx for putting both principals and business solutions to work during the negotiations. “They were willing to sit down and listen to our business model. We relied heavily on their industry experience to help us come up with a way to make delivering and recycling air filters much easier for the consumer and traceable for environmental accountability. They in-turn helped us achieve our goals of establishing a home delivery and return shipment program that protected the health of our Members, was less expensive for our Members, and is eco-conscious of the environment in which we live.”

This partnership reflects the increasing interest and developments in eco-friendly and health-related products specifically designed for home delivery. With the FedEx enhancements, Fresh Air Club Members and Clients will also be able to view pending shipping and tracking status information through their Member Portal. The new model has also allowed The Fresh Air Club to begin expanding its auto-ship and return-recycling concept into other business sectors, such as Property Management Services, Veterinarian/Pet Health Programs, and Physician Treatment Plans.

About The Fresh Air Club
The Fresh Air Club is the ONLY residential air filter home delivery and recycling service, offering its Members scheduled shipments of high efficiency, MERV-rated filters on a 90, 60, or 30 day plan through-out the year to help their families keep their indoor air quality fresh, clean, and free from harmful pollutants while at the same time recycling each filter through an innovative pre-paid return and tracking system that results in 0% local landfill impact. The company's appeal and success is centered on the convenient and eco-friendly business model that addresses poor indoor air quality of homes - one of America’s top 5 risks to public health, according to the Environmental Protection Agency – and the requirement for more companies to offer “green” solutions.

The Fresh Air Club has revolutionized the way people change their home air filter - by bringing the air filters directly to them on a recurring schedule so Members are reminded to change their filters, and recycling the dirty filters to reduce the impact on our environment. The site opened after a month of beta testing with initial customers in Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma. The program is available in the continental United States with offices located in Houston, Dallas, and Austin, TX. The business processes of the company are U.S. Patent Pending.

Leading the Fresh Air Club is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Joni Bock, whose background includes serving as a nurse for 10 years, along with a number of senior management positions with Providian, Dell Computers, and Wotlers Kluwer. Fellow Co-Founder and Chief Filter Officer Marc Tillery is a residential construction and HVAC specialist associated with running a successful residential and commercial construction company, formerly Apex Construction Services.

With today's busy lifestyles, general health awareness, and consumers demanding more value and “greener” alternatives, it's no wonder that The Fresh Air Club has become the preferred method for maintaining the quality of air at home.
