U.S Distance Learning Sector on Rebound

The distance education sector in the United States of America is booming as demand soars.

Dec. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- As more people embrace the flexibility and accessibility of online education, the demand for distance learning programs continues to increase. A recent study by integrity-based market research firm Ambient Insight shows that the U.S. distance education sector is enjoying unprecedented boom and is predicted to grow to $23.8 billion by 2014.

The report further indicates that all the segments of the market, including federal government,corporations,consumer, as well as state and local government are growing tremendously. According to the firm's Chief Research Officer Sam Adkins, the demand across the segments is growing by an average of 7.4 per cent.

The website's founding editor Samuel Jayhia says that the total number of inquiries made by their users have increased by 15.7 per cent in the past three months.

"The steady growth in the number of daily inquiries is evident that distance learning is making a rebound from the negative effects of the recession," says Jayhia.
