ATKINS THOMSON agree Apology for former Chairman of Hull AFC
Mark Thomson and Denzil Gunner of media lawyers Atkins Thomson have secured an Apology and legal costs from MGN on behalf of former Hull AFC Chairman, Paul Duffen.
By: Atkins Thomson
Paul Duffen said “My resignation from Hull City was a matter of honour as I felt it was right that, as the person ultimately in charge, I should take responsibility for our poor run of results on the pitch. I have always acted in what I believe to be the best interests of the club and was very disappointed to have my actions questioned in the Mirror’s article. I am happy that they have now acknowledged their error and apologised”.
Denzil Gunner of Atkins Thomson said “We are delighted by this result. It was important that Paul’s legacy of overseeing the rise of Hull City to the Premier League was not tarnished by errors in the article”.
MGN Limited agreed to a published apology and legal costs.
