ATKINS THOMSON agree Apology for former Chairman of Hull AFC

Dec. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- In an article published on their website www.mirrorfootball.co.uk on 4 November, the Daily Mirror reported the level of Hull’s debt and alleged that the club’s financial position was the sole responsibility of former Chairman Paul Duffen.   Following a letter of complaint from Atkins Thomson they have published an online apology to Mr Duffen, correcting their error.

Paul Duffen said “My resignation from Hull City was a matter of honour as I felt it was right that, as the person ultimately in charge, I should take responsibility for our poor run of results on the pitch. I have always acted in what I believe to be the best interests of the club and was very disappointed to have my actions questioned in the Mirror’s article. I am happy that they have now acknowledged their error and apologised”.

MGN Limited agreed to a published apology and legal costs.
