Wishes Do Come True! Local Mother Gives Birth To Cosmic Guide

Dec. 4, 2009 - PRLog -- RICHMOND HILL, ON.   Janet Trachter, local resident, new author and mother of three adult children proudly announced the arrival of SHeila WisHaLot™, an enthusiastic cosmic traveler with long black pigtails and a trail of stardust!  SHeila WisHaLot™ makes her worldwide debut, exclusively as a proud partner of Make-A-Wish® Canada.

As the perfect cosmic guide, SHeila makes her entrance in SHeila WisHaLot™ and The Garden Gate, a tale of a princess who is frightened of everything, a prince who is scared of nothing, and the affect each has on the other. SHeila WisHaLot™ and The Garden Gate uses rhyme, fantasy, engaging pictures and simplicity of message to stimulate children in developing the self confidence necessary to connect with the beauty and wonder of the world:

Big sister Jacqui, a medical doctor in training who embraces the world with confidence, gave SHeila WisHaLot™ her form and fashion when she was just six years old. Conceived by Ms. Trachter as a bedtime companion, SHeila WisHaLot™ answered her daughter's night time worries and has been "hanging around" for more than 20 years, waiting to be shared with children all over the world.

Now SHeila’s sharing begins as a proud supporter of Make-A-Wish® Canada, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich their lives with hope, strength and joy.  Make-A-Wish Canada®, consisting of seven regional chapters and the National Office, is part of Make-A-Wish® International, the world’s largest not-for-profit wish-granting organization. Since its inception, Make-A-Wish® has granted over 225,000 wishes for children in 34 countries around the world.  Beginning December 1st through to February 28th, $5.00 from the sale of each copy of SHeila WisHaLot™ & The Garden Gate sold in Canada will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Canada.
