Four Local Artists Showcase Work During Open House

Dec. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- Indianapolis jeweler and metalsmith Nancy Lee, owner of nDesigns Jewelry and Metal Objects (www.ndesignsmetal.com) is showcasing her work and that of three talented artisans while benefiting a local charity. See it all during "Deck the Halls...and YOU" Open House, a gallery-style show in a home setting at 7530 Mohawk Lane, Indianapolis, IN, on Saturday, December 12 from 10am to 4pm. A portion of proceeds from the show will benefit Fresh Start of Indiana (www.freshstartofindiana.org), helping victims of domestic violence to become victors. Artisans include glassblower Judie Sloan, featuring brilliant glass vases and objects, Mindy Raber McCain with her hand-loomed fabric in the form of small, exquisitely finished purses, embellished with tiny silver buttons and other whimsical decorations, and weaver Carrie May, showing her colorfully hand-dyed and woven fabrics made into beautiful scarves and luxurious wraps.

Nancy Lee, owner of nDesigns Metal Jewelry and Objects, has vivid dreams and recreates them in metal. Artistic work, individual in nature, includes beautifully finished sterling silver and mixed metal jewelry and small objects. Nancy has been exhibiting work in the Indianapolis area for several years and was the recipient of a blue ribbon in the professional sculpture division at this year's Indiana State Fair.
