Halfway to Forecastle Announced

Dec. 2, 2009 - PRLog -- LOUISVILLE, KY – The Forecastle Festival has announced the lineup to the third annual “Halfway to Forecastle” mini-fest, January 23rd in downtown Louisville, KY. The event will feature an all-electronic music line-up for the first time in the festival’s history, with artists performing on three stages inside The Electric Blue: The first official concert hosted inside the 20,000 square foot industrial warehouse. In addition to live music, the event will feature a nautically-themed fashion show, light and laser shows, live graffiti artists, ice sculptures, break dancing, poster signings, and more.

Chicago’s Kid Sister, whose debut studio album “Ultraviolet” was released Nov. 17th and received three and a half stars in the most recent Rolling Stone, will join Los Angeles-based duo LA Riots as co-headliners. Performing alongside will be Midwest electro artists Trash Yourself, Jesse Jamz, Kid Color, and many more. The event will kick-off at 9 PM on January 23rd at The Electric Blue, located at 835 E. Main Street in downtown Louisville, KY.

An evening silent auction and raffle will be held for signed merchandise, signed poster from artist Jeff Gaither, copy of DJ Hero, and a pair of VIP and after-party passes to the 2010 Forecastle Festival. All proceeds will benefit The Surfrider Foundation - an environmental non-profit dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the world's beaches and oceans through conservation, activism, research, and education.
