American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard will make a special guest appearance.
For more than 70 years, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra (ASO) has served Alabama, providing quality performances of varying styles of music and presenting some of the finest guest performers of the day. The outstanding musicians of the ASO have brought to life some of the world’s most treasured musical masterpieces as well as introduced listeners to exciting new works and composers. “A Gospel Christmas” is anticipated to be a high energy, festive, family-oriented concert that is sure to stir up the Christmas spirit for the young and old alike. Along with the ASO, the evening will feature ensembles from the FCCC Fine Arts Ministry which will include Chenaniah (Sanctuary Choir), the Children’s Choir, Teen Choir, the Jubilees (Senior Adult Choir), and Wings of Grace (Dance Ministry). Childcare will not be provided. This special event is a part of Faith Chapel Christian Center’s upcoming events for the Christmas season. About Ruben Studdard (www.rubenstuddard.com) About Faith Chapel Christian Center (www.faithchapel.net) Faith Chapel started in April, 1981 in Dr. Michael D. Moore's home in the Wylam community of Birmingham, Alabama. The church began with four people: Dr. Moore, his wife Kennetha, his mother, and a friend. In six months, the church grew then moved in June, 1981 to Stallworth Funeral Home. Within a year, the church re-located to the YWCA in downtown Birmingham. Today the congregation has reached over 7,000 members and is housed in the world’s largest monolithic dome. The Word Dome is located at 100 Lexington St, just blocks from the original church. End
