Japan Assoc. for International Chemical Information (JAICI) now markets in-house version of USGENE

Dec. 1, 2009 - PRLog -- Tokyo, Japan / Edison, NJ, USA, December, 2009 - For the purpose of promoting the USGENE in-house version more effectively in Japan, the US-based SequenceBase Corporation and the Japan Association for International Chemical Information (JAICI) have entered into an agreement according to which the Japan Association for International Chemical Information will act as a sales agent on behalf of the SequenceBase Corporation. In this capacity, the Japan Association for International Chemical Information will sell and market the USGENE database in-house version to customers and prospective customers of the SequenceBase Corporation in enterprises and institutes throughout Japan. USGENE is also available via the leading online-service, STN International. Both offerings complement each other, but target different user groups.

Scientists working in drug discovery operations, academia, and life sciences may now benefit from the customized in-house version of SequenceBase Corporation’s prestigious USGENE database. USGENE is the ground-breaking resource for life-science intellectual property professionals, providing unrivaled searchable access to all available peptide and nucleotide sequences from the published applications and issued patents of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). It is the unparalleled resource in which to perform freedom-to-operate, prior art, validity, infringement and competitive intelligence patent sequence searches within United States gene patent publications.

USGENE data are available in customized subscription formats to suit various in-house molecular biology patent information needs. The database can be implemented and integrated in other life science products such as Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Drug Discovery Platforms, Patent Portals, Web Host interfaces and other online information services. USGENE data can be provided in industry standard or customized data formats to suit all particular in-house needs.

According to the customers’ needs, the USGENE database can be purchased by segments of data such as class, art unit, patent assignee, inventor, publication date, or any other desired fields. The entire back file from 1981 to date can be licensed; regular weekly updates are provided to subscribers within 3 days of publication by the United States Patent Office.
