Nov. 27, 2009 - PRLog -- Here at The Holst Group we believe there are measures to identify the odd white lie through the use of good employer interviewing techniques.

Iain Chalmers, Director at The Holst Group explained, “There are normally reasons for candidates to be slightly economical with the truth, from a clash of personalities with their previous employers to stretching dates to cover a period of unemployment.  However, you have to get to the bottom of this issue somehow, as a bad hire can cost a lot of money and waste time for all concerned.

We are frequently asked how to extract the truths and discover the lies and there are some fairly simple techniques.  These include drilling down into the detail at the interview and asking more questions as to how a candidate achieved their targets.

The point of this exercise is to gauge their actual experience as supposed to what may or may not be written on their CV’s.  Their past performance will be indicative of their future success or failure.
There are more scientific ways of measuring the aptitudes and personalities of potential employees through employee profiling, otherwise known as psychometric testing.”
The Holst Group is the sole European supplier for the McQuaig System™, described as one of the most researched and validated systems in the UK.
