David DeCoteau’s Rapid Heart Pictures Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary

Nov. 26, 2009 - PRLog -- Launched in November, 1999 by prolific filmmaker David DeCoteau, Rapid Heart Pictures Ltd. has gone on to create over 30 successful, commercially-driven genre feature films for the worldwide market.  It has become the number one supplier of content for the here! TV network (available in 40 million U.S. homes) and currently has its programming in distribution through 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, Showtime, HBO, LionsGate, First Look Pictures, Regent Entertainment, Viacom/MTV's LOGO, OutTV Canada, E1, Image Entertainment, ProSeiben, SciFi Channel and many others.

Although based in British Columbia, Canada, Rapid Heart Pictures keeps an office in Los Angeles and produces content in locations all over the world, including New York City, Los Angeles and Vancouver as well as in regions such as South Africa, the Philippines, China, Eastern Europe, and the Caribbean.  It's also a boutique film production company and all projects are directed and co-produced by DeCoteau.

David DeCoteau, who is a dual citizen of Canada and the USA, has worked professionally in the movie business since he was 18 years old. He got his start through a generous offer from movie legend Roger Corman who hired him in 1980 as a production assistant at New World Pictures. In 1986, DeCoteau directed and produced his first feature film for another film legend, Full Moon Entertainnment’s Charles Band. DeCoteau has produced and directed more than seventy motion pictures over the past twenty four years. His passion lies in the creation of popular genre programming made for world consumption. DeCoteau's experience in creating modestly-budgeted content in countries all over the world makes him a proven choice for exceptionally challenging movie projects.
