PRLog -- Dr. John Y. Diiwu is a forest hydrologist for the Government of Alberta, Canada. In this capacity for three years, he examines the distribution and movement of water in forested watersheds for the forest management branch of Alberta Sustainable Resource Development. Additionally, John is an adjunct professor of forest hydrology in the department of renewable resources at the University of Alberta. Prior to his present positions, he was a regional hydrologist for the Government of Ontario, Canada, and regional hydrologist in Alberta environment for the Government of Alberta. Dr. Diiwu received his PhD in water resource engineering from the University of Guelph, and remains active in professional organizations within his field of specialty including Canadian Water Resources Association, American Water Resources Association, and the International Association of Hydrological Sciences. He has always had an interest in addressing environmental issues, specifically those pertaining to water. In the future, he hopes to attain greater international recognition in his field and continue to make a difference by contributing to address global environmental problems. John also maintains an active philanthropic profile by volunteering for charities in the Edmonton area and through contributions to United Way. In his free time, he enjoys reading mystery novels, walking, and traveling to foreign destinations.
