Egypt Yellow Pages Inks Strategic Partnership With Otlob.com

Nov. 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd, the Local Search Company, announced today its strategic partnership with Otlob.com, the popular regional online food delivery service provider.

Users of Yellow.com.eg will soon have direct access to food delivery service from more than 400 restaurants across not just Cairo and Alexandria, but also Hurghada, Port Said, Tanta, Mansoura, Assiut, and Luxor to which Otlob.com recently expanded its coverage. Users will simply browse by restaurant on Yellow.com.eg, and the restaurants that offer the Otlob.com service will have an online delivery icon next to their listings. Clicking on this icon will open the menu for that restaurant and allow the user to make their order. Results can be filtered by city/area and cuisine.

Currently, when making a food delivery order, the customer has to search Yellow.com.eg for a restaurant, get the phone number, and call the restaurant. One major drawback is that the customer has to know exactly what they want since they do not have a food menu. Beginning in January 2010, when the service goes live on Yellow.com.eg, users will not only be able to see a restaurant’s geo-coded location and contact information, but they will also see the establishment’s menu and instantly be able to make their delivery order online without having to pick up the phone.
