Review of Seiko Sportura Retrograde Chronograph SPC001P SPC001

Nov. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- This watch belongs to Seiko’s leading sports collection watch series, ‘Sportura’. This is a unique, all chronograph collection inspired by high-performance motor sport. Quartz or kinetic, every sportura watch is designed to perform at the highest level of motor sports.
With the addition of two entirely new chronograph calibers, the Sportura collection re-enforces its position as one of the world's most powerful sports watch collections which now has six distinct calibers. Among the calibers are analog and duo-display, quartz and Kinetic. Stainless steel case and bracelet with two tone finish. Chronograph with Quartz movement and 1/100 second Retrograde Chronograph.

This Brand new watch from Seiko has a stainless steel double push button three fold bracelet and a stainless steel case with black bezel. The watch has a black face with silver colored chronograph dials which measure 40 minutes in 1/100th seconds. There is a date window in the 3 o clock position and has illumines hands and batons with orange fingers. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters and has a screw down crown. Seiko Sportura watch comes with a stainless steel case, and the dial consists of an alarm, chronograph functions, centered hour, minute and second hands and a date display. The Seiko Sportura also features Sapphire Mineral glass, a screw down crown and is water resistant.
The SPC001 has a nice weight to it, it actually feels quite heavy and gives the watch a feeling of heft and quality that is oftentimes absent with plastic digital watches of today. The face of the watch diameter is larger than a $0.25 piece and very close to the diameter of a silver dollar. The buttons are solid and have a very nice feel to them. An added benefit that is not mentioned is the brushed steel band. The SPC001P1 features a stainless bracelet and case nicely complimented by a black dial featuring the trademark Sportura red.
