Egypt Yellow Pages Contributes To Terry Fox Run Charity Event At The Giza Pyramids

Nov. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Cairo, Egypt  – As part of its corporate social responsibility program, Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd participated last week in the 2009 Terry Fox Run, the annual non-competitive charity event held in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox.

The Terry Fox Run is held around the globe each year in various locations. The 2009 event for Egypt, organized by the Canadian Embassy in Egypt, was held at the Giza Pyramids on November 14. The Terry Fox Run, unlike other major fund raising events, has no corporate sponsorship and no fund raising minimums. In keeping with the approach of its founder, Terry Fox, the event is all-inclusive, non-competitive, and run strictly on a volunteer basis.

In efforts to contribute to a cleaner environment, Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd recycles all the print directories it can collect after their shelf-life expires. For example, before distributing the 80,000 new copies to hotels with each new version, Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd collects the old ones first for recycling with Resala. Egypt Yellow Pages Ltd also has a recycling program for all printed materials produced by the company in each of its 15 offices across Egypt.
