The Wild Pointe Ranch Reserve will be USGBC LEED for Homes Platinum certified and will include the latest energy efficiency, indoor air quality, reduced water usage, and sustainable technology, products, and best practices. As the largest sustainable development of its kind in the United States, Wild Pointe Ranch will be a state and national icon for the best practices of sustainable construction and home energy efficiency. The low energy home design, ultra tight building envelope, and advanced integrated renewable HVAC design and technologies to be implemented in these homes present a new level for building science and set a viable standard for low and net zero energy residential buildings.

An ENERGY freedom Festival of Homes is being organized for the fall of 2010 as an open house event featuring the first six model homes completed.  The event will be focused on providing to the public education and information about the affordability, design, building envelope, sustainable products, and integrated renewable energy systems. This will be the first homes parade with all LEED Platinum certified homes and net zero energy consumption for HVAC and DHW.  Its focus on sustainability, along with a marketing budget exceeding $500,000, is expected to draw expansive local and national media coverage.
