Nov. 15, 2009 - PRLog -- When father of two, Gordon Wild Flynn, hit the pain barrier of 6 months unemployment coupled with the news that his CV  was one of around five hundred submitted for a position, he knew he had to do something innovative. He came up with the idea that promoting himself on advertising hoardings and billboards in  London would be the ideal platform to get noticed by the nations managers and directors.
On Job Seekers Allowance there is little left at the end of each week to pay for expensive advertising, so he wrote to a director at JC Decaux, who are Europe's No.1 for billboards, asking if he could use one of their boards  for free to get himself noticed. To his delight,  they accepted and assigned him an account manager wishing him luck.
He chose an easy to remember domain name, JobPlease.co.uk, built a site to host his CV and designed the poster.  The billboard is 6 metres long x 3 metres high, headlines with 'I Need a Job Please' and features Gordon photo-shopped as General Kitchener pointing his finger and quoting' Your Company Needs Me'. It is situated in Tottenham Court Road, one of Central London's busiest roads.
Gordon is hoping that this will turn the heads of any employers looking for an innovative, go getter. As his billboard states, all he wants  people to do is, ' Go to the website, look at his CV and call him for an interview'.
Gordon's previous attempts at getting in front of  the decision makers and securing an interview  include;
Putting  estate agent style signs close to high tech employers in Reading, Berkshire ( see www.prince2manager.com ).
Offering his services for free to training companies in return for complementary training courses. Skills Matter Ltd of London kindly took him up. www.skillsmatter.com
