"I went to they're concert finally and I had the best times!  I would say they fall into that prog-rock jam band genre.  We had great seats and had the best of times!   Umphrey's seems like that type of band that would tip back a few brews with their fans... In fact, I talked to one of their fans and he said he follows them all across the States.  He seemed very familiar and was wearing a banana suit.  Weird guy actually, but made the concert a blast!"

"I have been a fan for awhile.  I have to tell you their lighting show has become really amazing!  I'm not really into 'tripping' at festivals, but I do enjoy cool lighting shows because it does enhance the music when the visuals are perfected.  It seems to me that Umphrey's has done this!  If you like early Genesis music, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Iron Maiden or Frank Zappa - you would enjoy Umphrey's Mcgee.  I'm definitely glad my buddy introduced me.  Their live shows are worth experiencing!"

"Check them out soon before they stop touring.  You'll be glad you did.  Bands like this don't come around very often and of course they end up getting burnt out and stop touring...  A band like Umphrey's is worth seeing live.  Because years from now you can take your kid to their reunion tour and say you saw them when you were younger.  And that is always something cool to say to your kid!"

Umphreys McGee is originally from South Bend and now based in Chicago.  They mostly tour in the States, but have opened up new markets in Europe and tour their once every couple years.  Where most bands fade away; Umphrey's has been in existence for over 12 years and have established themselves as the real deal.
