Be Fabulous takes action

Nov. 14, 2009 - PRLog -- We know that as women we can sometimes struggle to see our true value and potential, but just imagine how we would feel living in a male dominated country like Bangladesh. Where girls are married off young and denied the opportunity to change their future and provide for their malnourished children. How would we feel?

Be Fabulous, the lifestyle networking portal, have partnered with Women of Action to provide learning opportunities and support groups which will help previously overlooked women to restore their dignity and transform all areas of their lives. Through the sponsorship of these women, starting from as little as £3 a month, together we can empower groups of struggling women to discover their potential and lift themselves out of poverty.

Karen Davis, founder of Be Fabulous tell us more  - "Charlene Hayden, who runs Women of Action in the UK, joined as a member of Be Fabulous the other month and she dropped me an email to introduce herself.  As we were both local we put a date in the diary to meet for a coffee and while she was telling me about her business I realised immediately that there was such synergy with what we’re all about here at Be Fabulous – a network for us to share, support, inspire and motivate each other - and in a way we take our ability to do so for granted.  To partner with such an inspirational charity is an amazing opportunity for Be Fabulous and our members.  We've had a great response so far and Women of Action have given us our own Be Fabulous page on their website.  www.womenofaction.co.uk/befabulous  Lets all join together and make a difference to these women's lives next year!"

Launched in January 2009 Be Fabulous already boasts a registered membership of over 1800 women with numbers growing each day.

The site is free to join and members can participate in TALK, the sites forums which cover topics from business advice, social chat to more personal areas like dealing with depression, illnesses, food allergies etc. They can also find local events from business networking groups, workshops or courses to pamper days and craft fairs in MEET, the sites calendar.

Each month new articles are published in INSPIRE covering topics as diverse as seduction techniques, how to pack the perfect suitcase to facing your fear of sales or even finding the strength to live your dream.

And, as we know women like to shop, members can discover some great new companies in THE BOOK OF GEMS.  The sites directory is split into two sections, High Street Gems, which is bursting with great offers and discounts from the stores you know and love, and Hidden Gems, our exclusive directory of wonderful business and companies that you might never of heard of.
