Nov. 12, 2009 - PRLog -- STOP! Mortgage Servicers announces the launch of their new website. An online community has been established to promote the regulation of mortgage servicers.

“There is no question that there have been significant abuses by servicers, and a big part of that is there’s no one who is carefully monitoring their work to make sure that they’re not taking advantage of borrowers.” –Kurt Eggert, Law Professor at Chapman University, Orange, CA.

“Servicers have flown under the regulatory radar.”-Julia Gordon, Senior Policy Counsel at Center for Responsible Lending

In response to the current activities of mortgage servicers, STOP! Mortgage Servicers has been created with the expressed purpose of building an online community organization to affect change in the way mortgage servicers are regulated.

The STOP! Mortgage Servicers website provides our online community with a plethora of tools for action such as; (A) A community message board where members can tell their stories, complain, and brainstorm ideas for action.  (B) An “Activism” page that provides links to two petitions as well as ideas and links for where and to whom to complain to.  (C) Social media pages, Twitter and Facebook, have also been created to promote community involvement and recruitment.  (D) A news blog where current mortgage servicer updates are continually added.

STOP! Mortgage Servicers believes that “Individually we are Strong. Together we are Powerful.”
