From Fashion and Image Consulting to a "Lousy" Business (of Nitpicking, that is!)

You've heard of nitpicky people, right? That's right, a business of picking lice off of childrens' heads. Marsha went from a "glamorous" business in the Image & Fashion industry to the most "unglamorous" we could imagine.

Why “lousy”?  Because we pick the louse off children and adults’ heads.

Huntington Beach, CA  November 12, 2009  --  Getting rid of head lice is an age old problem that unless treated effects many other people. And going from Image Consulting to Nitpicking is quite the JUMP.  When school is back in session, it is not surprising to see lice infestations occur…again.
Marsha Hill spoke with her co-worker on the east coast who spent the summer indoors with four children in isolation to become lice free.  All available forms of ridding lice were done to no avail. Much money was spent on remedies, doctor visits, time, frustrations, and valuable lost time at work.  Finally, after six weeks, she was told of a “nit picking” service. She immediately packed up everyone and invested in their service and education.  When experiencing this trauma long distance with her it was disconcerting, empathetically traumatic and scary at all she and her four children and husband were going through. Her final comment was “I wish I’d known about this service six weeks ago. The service was worth every penny.”
Marsha realized that her co-worker couldn’t be the only person in the US with this situation. Immediately, she started researching lice, nits, remedies and speaking with other nitpickers around the country.  Since the beginning of lice infestation time, the best dealings with them are “nit picking” and education of lice.  Her research also included interviewing doctors, only to find out that, in an Urgent Care facility, 1 of the 35 doctors said he has at least 2 lice patients a day.  Not odd to hear considering that according to the CDC, over 12 million children a year contract head lice which means lost time at school due to “no nit” policies."  It takes only one appointment with Lice’n Easy to be rid of nits and lice!

About Lice ‘n Easy:
Lice ‘n Easy’s service is done “in home” for all family members infested, by private appointment. All tools required to do the job are brought into a person’s home along with after care education. For an infested person, the person is “picked on” for about an hour and a half or more. No toxic chemicals are ever used and hair never needs to be cut or shaved. Nitpicking provides the best and safest treatment for anyone with head lice.
Marsha Hill has been an independent business woman for over 35 years and a degree in counseling from the University of Maryland.  She believes this is one of the best, most needed and valuable services she has ever been able to provide.  From 1980 on, she was a Fashion and Image Consultant in the Washington D.C. area.  The woman, who currently runs “Marsha’s Color Me Beautiful and Doncaster” is the woman whose children had the six week lice infestation.  Jumping from Image Consulting on Capitol Hill to critters that need to be picked is quite a jump indeed!    How can anyone even want to look their best when their head is itching from lice bites?  Without the tools we use, it is virtually impossible to see the nits (eggs), much less, get them all. Without getting them all, the cycle starts again…and again.  With only one appointment with Lice’n Easy, the lousy problem is GONE!
