Nov. 12, 2009 - PRLog -- Jackson County, Georgia novelist Malcolm R. Campbell has joined over 230 authors participating in Operation E-Book Drop, a program designed to connect military personnel on deployment with authors providing troops with free e-books.

Campbell’s comedic thriller “Jock Stewart and the Missing Sea of Fire” is available free in multiple formats to military personnel using e-book readers on laptop computers, iPhones, SmartPhones, Kindle and other hardware.

“I’m happy to join 15 other authors from my publisher Vanilla Heart Publishing in providing copies of our books,” said Campbell. “When I served in the Navy, Mail Call was about the most important event of the day for it meant pre-crumbled cookies, books and letters from home. Now it’s my turn to help make somebody else’s Mail Call a bit more fun.”

Operation eBook Drop is a grass roots effort started by author Edward C. Patterson (The Jade Owl and others) which was quickly joined by Smashwords.com founder Mark Coker.
