There are 208 mine fields in 21 provinces (areas) proved to have kaolin mine, total mineral reserves is 1.43 billion tons which ranks 7th in the world. As for the area distribution, Guangdong province has the most of kaolin resource and Shanxi takes the second place which occupied 30.8% and 26.7% of China reserves. Hong Kong also has kaolin mine. The main kaoling mineral fields in China are: Guangdong Maoming, Fujian Longyan, Jiangxi Guixi, Jiangsu Wuxian and Hunan Ju Liling, etc. The mineral deposit genetic types are weathering crust, hydrothermal alteration and sedimentation types. Mainly is weathering crust type such as kaolin mineral field in Guangdong and Fujian. The mineragenetic epoch is Cainozoic era, end of Mesozoic era and also Late Paleozoic Era.
